Teaching the Technique requires specialized use of the hands. To become registered, teachers must have completed a rigorous training process of three years (1600 hours) full-time study on one of the training courses authorized by 15 globally affiliated professional organizations.
Patricia trained in London and is a registered member of The Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique (STAT) in Britain, and the American Society for the Alexander Technique (AmSAT). She has served on AmSAT’s board of directors, is past chair of the organization, serves as its international liaison, and also chairs the organizational committee that oversees training standards in the USA.
Patricia is one of only two registered teachers in West Michigan. As well as her Grand Rapids office, she teaches in Muskegon, Manistee, Three Rivers, and in Goshen, Indiana. |
